Christine DiPaulo is the Director of Innovation at String Theory Schools in Philadelphia, a STEAM (Performing Arts Charter) School. http://apple.co/string-theory-schools-profile. "String Theory Schools is a STEAM school that offers students who have an interest in the arts, language, science and technology the opportunity to engage in a curriculum that combines superior coursework and significant field work to create a balance between artistry and academics that gives graduates a solid foundations for their future endeavors."
Her role is on the Design Team casting vision for the next innovative schools. I work closely with our design team on the elements of our new schools including flexible learning spaces, learning experiences, and the strategies for implementation. I also have close relationships with our faculty to calibrate experiences and as a team member to create courses in iTunes U for iPad. She also supports faculty and staff with instructional technology and pedagogical initiatives in the classroom.
In the 1 to 1 iPad program she creates learning opportunities for content creation for all members of the faculty and staff. Her focus is on district wide strategies for innovative uses of technology in the classroom, and best practices for students to consume, create and author content using iPad. At String Theory Schools, Christine is the lead project coordinator on building courses in iTunes U. These courses are inquiry driven and grounded in Project Based Learning. Christine works closely with staff members to collaboratively create courses combining the replacement of textbooks, lesson plans and teacher websites in an all in one model. Christine uses push in support and planning with faculty members to drive our "build it in real time" model of course creation. She also teaches Digital Media Arts and Design, is a secondary certified math teacher, with Business Education certification and MSc as K12 certified Instructional Technology Specialist. As a certified math teacher, Christine created two new honors level math courses using technology to extend the school year and for project based learning.
Christine is an Apple Distinguished Educator, Class 2009 and served on the ADE Advisory Board. She has attended the Apple Distinguished Educator Summer Institutes since 2009 including 2 Global Institutes. She is a Google Certified Teacher and a first round Google Glass Explorer. She been honored as a 3E Institute Entrepreneurial Educator.
Christine has published courses on Apple Distinguished Educators on iTunes U called iAm a Brand Called ME and Creating A Culture of Innovation. Her "Move with IT" course, published in iTunes U, is full of Ed Tech resources. She has presented technology workshops on iTunes U Course Creation, iPad in Education, the iAm A Brand Called ME, Apps for iPad in the Classroom, Google Glass in Education, Google Apps for Ed, around the globe.
As an educator it is her goal to continue to create meaningful learning experiences for teachers and students using Apple technology as a tool for developing and authoring content, collaborating, and challenge based learning products. She works with all members of the school community to build strong 21st century skills to foster critical thinking, collaborative team building, effective communication and being thoughtful citizens of the school community and beyond. She works with teachers sharing effective uses of technology in the classroom and building professional learning networks.
Christine is a volunteer at Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. She organizes a team of teachers called WE-R-TCHRS and together they cook dinner for the families staying in the house.

Math Teacher at Chester County Intermediate Unit -Center for Arts and Technology
September 2005 - August 2011 | Phoenixville, PaI taught kids math, integrating technology to connect math to the lives of my students both in their career and technical education programs and beyond. My students used project based learning to see the connection between math and career and to create multimedia products demonstrating that relationship. I also helped bring these honors course to our school and used a hybrid learning structure for these courses. Students extended the school year beginning in August, using our one to one laptop program, they viewed the syllabus, reviewed the course content, read a current book/novel related to math and created multimedia projects based on the reading. We also used TI83 and TI 89 calculators in class.
